Introduction
Thank you for shopping at GIRATI. If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, this document is here to provide you all the necessary information in order for you to return your order and how GIRATI accommodates any refunds and alternatives (the “Return Policy”).
The following document will provide information regarding the following:
- who we are;
- how we handle returns (including shipping procedure);
- how we handle refunds;
- what alternative refund mechanisms we provide;
- what we understand by ‘lifetime warranty’; and
- how to reach out to us.
I. Who are we?
When we say "GIRATI", "us", "our" or "we", we refer to:

II. Returns
A. General
Directive 2011/83/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 25 October 2011 on consumer rights, amending Council Directive 93/13/EEC and Directive 1999/44/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council and repealing Council Directive 85/577/EEC and Directive 97/7/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council (the “Consumer Directive”) provides consumers at least fourteen (14) calendar days, counting from the date of receival (i.e. the day on which the consumer or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by the consumer, acquires physical possession of the goods), to return their order placed away from business premises (the “Withdrawal Period”) (the “Returned Goods”).
The Returned Goods must be returned in the same condition as it was delivered with the original packaging. This, of course, does not hinder for any traces of usage proportionate to any use necessary to determine the main properties of the Returned Goods. This means the goods are supposed to be unscratched, unscathed or not damaged in any other way.
Furthermore, any return must include the receipt or proof of purchase.
Highlighting the fact that art. 16 of the Consumer Directive provides an exception to this rule for custom made goods. The Return (or Refund or Exchange) Policy does not extend to custom made products.
B. Procedure & Shipping
In order for the consumer to make use of this Return Policy, the Returned Goods are to be sent back to GIRATI. The consumer can return the Returned Goods choosing its own method of shipping and delivery, for which the consumer will bear all necessary costs.

III. Refunds
Upon receival of the Returned Goods, we will perform a thorough inspection on the state of the Returned Goods, including but not limited to the state of the ordered goods and their original packaging. The consumer will be sent a notification on the status of the refund after inspection of the Returned Goods.
If the return is approved, a refund will be initiated on the credit card (or original method of payment) of the consumer (the “Refund”).
The consumer will receive the Refund within thirty (30) days, depending on the consumer’s card issuer’s policies.
In the case where GIRATI is held liable to pay for the shipping cost of the Returned Goods, the cost shall be deducted from the refund.
IV. Alternative Refund Mechanisms
Should the consumer wish not to be refunded its money, but rather be compensated via alternative refund mechanisms, GIRATI offers two possibilities:
- store credit; and
- an exchange of the purchased goods.

V. Lifetime Warranty
All GIRATI jewelry come with a lifetime warranty (the “Lifetime Warranty”) in order for us to be able to provide the best possible quality and services.
The Lifetime Warranty is valid for the duration of the consumer’s lifetime, starting from the date of purchase, ending at disposal of the jewelry by the original purchaser, the consumer – this of course, subjected to applicable laws. Only GIRATI jewelry purchased from an authorized GIRATI retailer are eligible for the Lifetime Warranty. In case of disposal in any way by the original purchaser (the consumer) (e.g. sale agreement), the Lifetime Warranty becomes void. Furthermore, the Lifetime Warranty will also become void when purchasing from unauthorized GIRATI retailers. Hence, warranty claims must at all times be accompanied by the receipt or proof of purchase.
The Lifetime Warranty covers material and manufacturing defects. These will be replaced free of charge. The Lifetime Warranty covers only 50% in the case of repairs and/or replacements, this includes but is not limited to failure or damage caused by improper use or carelessness (knocks, dents, crushing, etc.), failure or damage caused by unjustifiable repair or modification, aesthetic changes that occur from normal wear and tear, aging (minor scratches, etc.) and alteration of the colour such as subtle colour changes to the plating, etc. and failure or damage caused by fire or water, or a natural disaster such as an earthquake. Hence, GIRATI will charge 50% of the original cost of the item.
In the event your item required for warranty has been discontinued or sold out, a credit code will be offered for the value paid on original purchase, to be used towards a new replacement purchase of another item and subject to approval.
We will not honor fake or fraudulent warranty claims and reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to reject any warranty claims which we suspect to be fraudulent.
Sterling silver rings can be resized but will void warranty - please modify at your own risk.
