Michelangelo’s Creazione di Adamo is one of the most recognised paintings in the world. Painted as a fresco in the Vatican’s Sistine Chapel, the picture has been subject to many stories over time - some being more sincere than others.
The creation of man - and especially its version as told by Genesis - has always intrigued many people. Creationists argue the complexity of our world makes it unbelievable there is no creator, whilst its criticism consists mainly of the fact that this leaves the argument open to a reductio ad infinitum: who then created the creator.
Notwithstanding the stories and theories, the painting remains one of the most reproduced paintings of all time. We felt a design like the Creazione could not be omitted to be created, since it has left such a big footprint in history. However, we wanted to give it a more contemporary and abstract look, as a unique picture of the vagueness surrounding the creationist theory. The design leaves it open for people to see the famous picture of the hands of man and God almost touching. Whilst it also leaves room to critique this perspective and argue the blur makes it unable to tell.
We envisioned a design that argues itself. The mystery is what makes the discussion intriguing.

Measure the circumference of your finger.

-A thin piece of paper
-A ruler
-A pen or pencil
STEP 1: Wrap the thin piece of paper around your fingers and mark the overlapping parts with your pen or pencil.
STEP 2: Unwrap the piece of paper and measure the part between the two markings.
